The basics
What the system is, and why a care home needs it.
What is Wisal?
Wisal is cloud software for elderly care homes, care centres and residential facilities. It brings residents, rooms, care, medication, staff, finance and reports together in one platform.
Is Wisal a program or a cloud service?
It is cloud software (SaaS): you do not install it on a computer, you open it in your browser or on your phone, and Wisal handles the updates and the backups.
Do I get the Arabic and English versions?
Yes, the interface is available in both languages, and each account picks the language it uses.
How long does setup take?
An empty home account can be running within a day. Entering your real residents depends on how many there are, and we stay with you through it.
Daily operations
Residents, rooms, care and medication.
How do I add a new resident?
From the residents screen: personal details, room, care plan and medication. You can enter them by hand or import from a spreadsheet.
How is medication followed?
Every resident has a dose schedule. The nurse records each dose as it is given, and the system alerts you when one is late or when stock is running low.
Can I link a room to a resident?
Yes, and the room status updates automatically: occupied, free, needs cleaning, or maintenance.
How do I record daily tasks?
The task appears for the staff member responsible, and they mark it done with one tap. It then appears in the shift log with their name and the time.
Can I manage visits?
Yes: a record for every visit, visits booked in advance, and visitor details.
Team and permissions
Who sees what, and how the team works.
How many users are there?
It starts at 5 on the first plan, goes up to 30 on Professional, and is unlimited on Enterprise.
Can one user see everything?
The manager, yes. The rest of the team see only what their own work involves — and that is where the value of the system comes from.
Which permissions are available?
Eleven ready-made permissions: system administrator, facility owner, branch manager, reception, caregiver, nurse, doctor, pharmacist, accountant, HR, and family member.
Can I create permissions for my team?
Yes. You can tailor each staff member’s permissions to define exactly what they see and what they can change.
Family communication
What relatives see, and what they do not.
Can family members log in?
They can be given limited access. Deciding what they see is the home’s call.
What does the family permission show?
By default: a status summary, the visit log, and upcoming appointments. It can be narrowed further.
Can family members see the home’s expenses?
No. Financial permissions are reserved for management and accounting.
Data and security
Where your data is, and how it is protected.
Where is the data stored?
On trusted cloud servers, with an encrypted connection between your device and the system.
Is there an activity log?
Yes. The system records who did what and when, and you can go back to it.
What if the system is lost?
We keep regular backups, and your data can be restored. You can also export your data at any time.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Your data belongs to you, and you can export it at any time from your account settings.

How do I start?

Do I need a credit card?
No, the free trial needs no credit card.
How is the price calculated?
On the number of residents, not on the number of seats. Each plan states its limit.
Can I cancel?
Yes, and we recommend exporting your data before you cancel.
